A Note from Bob Ballou

The answer is this: we will find a way.

We want to stay upfront and honest with you as we enter the 7th year of the Under Ballou Skies Golf Classic & Party benefiting the ALS Association of Texas — so our answer to all your questions are yes — we will find a way.

Can we golf? We will find a way. The pandemic didn’t stop us in 2020, so the answer here is a firm yes.

Can we party? We will find a way. The pandemic didn’t stop us from partying in groups of 10 or less while maintaining safe social distance while hanging out virtually in 2020, so the answer here is— one way or the other — a firm yes.

Can we find a cure for ALS? I think you see where we are going with this. WE. WILL. FIND. A. WAY. (FIRM YES.)

We are making significant strides in the fight to defeat ALS. As we continue our push, we hope you are willing to join us again. Last year, you helped us raise nearly $160,000 in the middle of a time when everyone was questioning everything.

Let’s beat that this year. For our patients. For our friends.

I’m asking you to help us continue our fight by joining us as a sponsor for this year’s 7th annual event. All levels exist and each is extremely important in the battle to defeat ALS.

Come golf. Come party. Come make a difference.

My promise to you? An entertaining day and night...and progress toward that cure. All of which to say…

We will find a way.

About Us

The ALS Association is the only nonprofit completely dedicated to fighting ALS. The Texas Chapter focuses our resources on helping patients across the state by addressing the entire ALS ecosystem: providing local care to support patients who need help now, advocating for public policy that serves the needs of patients, and investing in research to find treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
