Meet Our 2024 Honoree
Jason Latham
"About five years ago, I was a truck driver, working hard to provide for my family, when, basically, my legs stopped doing their job. My first diagnosis was Primary Lateral Sclerosis, and then, in January 2023, I received the news I had been dreading: I was told I actually had ALS. I was scared at first, but leaned into my faith and the strong bond of my family.
None of us know how long we have on this earth, but for those of us with ALS, we try to appreciate every second so much more. I saw this movie, 'Pastor Stu', and I thought he made a good point: 'We shouldn’t pray for an easy life, but for the strength to endure a difficult one.' Thank you for being here and supporting the ALS Association."
